It's time to support the UK's independent record shops - this is more important than ever!
It would have been Record Store Day this coming Saturday, 18th April, but obviously that has been postponed to later in the year. However, if you are in the UK, OfficialCharts.com has launched a new interactive map showcasing how to support your local record shop, even when you can’t leave the house.
So get online and buy some wonderful new music to help fill your hours at home during these strange times. We've all been getting reacquainted with long filed away LPs at the various Wichita home offices recently, however an injection of brand new vinyl is always a very welcome occurrence. Just this week I received in the mail the new Token Records compilation, Fuga - it's a banger from start to finish (and plays as I type this post).
Hit the link below to see the OCC's very helpful map and show some love for your local record store (or your favourites on the list if you have fallen out with your local!)
Obviously we'd suggest a recent Wichita release... Julia Bardo's debut EP Phase, Will Samson's Paralanguage, Ride's This Is Not A Safe Place, Health&Beauty's epic Shame Engine / Blood Pleasure, Oscar Scheller's http404, Indoor Pets' Be Content or Los Campesinos!'s mighty and recently reissued Romance Is Boring, perhaps?
Which ever record you choose to pick up, please stay well, stay indoors and, as our LPs always say, thank you for buying vinyl!
