Visiter is the debut album by San Francisco psychedelic folk pop duo, The Dodos.
Their debut single Red and Purple shows their subtle folk pop dexterity, awash with complex and urgent rhythms no doubt gathered from lead singer Meric’s studies in West African Ewe drumming. Second single ‘Fools’ (out this September) is a gem of a record, all stand out melody and wistful vocals. The Dodos’ signature elements of primitive percussion and a low current of tribal drums are at their psychedelic best in tracks such as Paint The Rust and Ashley - making Visiter a pioneering debut.
