The Cribs have announced details of forthcoming singles collection release ‘Payola’  – a musical journey tracing the band’s musical output from the outset through to their fifth and most recent album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’. The album will be released on 25th February 2013 and collects 22 tracks including unreleased track ‘Leather Jacket Love Song’. This song, recorded in 2010, was the last song the band completed as a four piece, and thus, the final song to feature former Cribs guitarist Johnny Marr.

‘Payola ‘will be released on CD and vinyl in its standard format, but for the ardent Cribs fan there will be a deluxe version, featuring an exclusive 18 track B-Sides and rarities album, to comprise the 40 track ‘Anthology Editio’n.

Ahead of the release of their new single ‘The Lion’s Roar’ on 19th Nov, First Aid Kit have unveiled a live video filmed during their performance at Lollapalooza festival earlier this year. The video is available on YouTube.

Currently touring Europe and celebrating Platinum album status in their Swedish homeland, First Aid Kit will head to the UK for their biggest headline dates thus far, calling at Shepherd’s Bush Empire for a sold out show on 20th November and playing alongside Richard Hawley for Jo Whiley’s ‘Little Noise’ session the following day.

Following on from the incredibly well received EP Modern Driveway released through NOTOWN this May, Luke Abbott is to release a new EP this December. The ‘Object Is A Navigator’ EP continues where Modern Driveway left off, with the mesmerizing combination of warm, analogue sounds and a beating heart of twisted melody.

‘Object is a Navigator’ EP is released on 12” vinyl and digitally on 10^th December, and is the second EP of music released by Abbott since the slow burning success of his 2010 LP Holkham Drones.

Alongside the release, Luke Abbott will be part of a six-week residency at the Wysing Arts Centre, near Cambridge from 4th November. Luke Abbott has joined artists Jonathan Baldock, Edwin Burdis, Emma Hart and Jess Flood-Paddock, in residence at Wysing’s rural site developing new art works that explore the future, nature and transformation in response to the metaphor of The Forest.
