Peggy Sun Announce Rough Trade East + Resident Instores
Peggy Sue will be playing two instores on the week of their album release.The band will play Rough Trade East on Tuesday 6th April at 7pm. Buy their album Fossils And Other Phantoms from the shop on the day of the show to get your wristband.
The band will be playing an instore on the following night at Resident Records in their hometown of Brighton. The performance will take place at 6pm on Wednesday 7th April. Further details available here.

Los Campesinos! To Play Underage Festival
Los Campesinos! have announced that they will be playing this year’s Underage Festival. The event takes places at Victoria Park, London on Sunday 1 August and is exclusively for 14-18 year olds. Other acts on the bill include M.I.A., Gold Panda and Micachu And The Shapes.

LOS CAMPESINOS! ANNOUNCE SHEPHERD’S BUSH EMPIRE AND DOT TO DOT SHOWS
Following their spectacular sold-out date at Koko last month, Los Campesinos! have announced their biggest London headline show. The band will play Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 20 May. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Monday here.
Tickets are now for their headline show at Cardiff Solus the following night.
Los Campesinos! will be headlining this year’s Dot To Dot festival. The band will headline Anson Rooms in Bristol, NTU in Nottingham and Academy 2 in Manchester above Beach House and Liars. Dates are as follows:

Wichita Stages At The Great Escape + Stag And Dagger
As part of our 10 year anniversary celebrations Wichita will be hosting stages at The Great Escape and Stag And Dagger.
The Great Escape takes place in Brighton on 13th-15th May. Bands playing the event include Broken Social Scene, Slow Club and Cold Cave. We will be hosting a stage at Life on Friday 14th May with Peggy Sue, Sky Larkin, Gold Panda, Dam Mantle playing. Head over to http://www.escapegreat.com/ for further details and tickets.

Lovvers London Shows + US Tour
Lovvers will be playing two London shows next week ahead of their US tour. Monday they will play a free show at The Stag’s Head, followed by a show at The Rest Is Noise with the excellent Cold Pumas and Fair Ohs. Tickets for the latter are available here.

Mariachi El Bronx Announce European Gogol Bordello Tour
Mariachi El Bronx have announced their first live shows for 2010. The band will be supporting Gogol Bordello on their forthcoming European tour. The band will also play their own headline date in London at The Barbican on 26 April. The band’s new single Holy will be released on the same day.

Mariachi El Bronx Documentary And Barbican Show
Babelgum has premiered a documentary that features exclusive live footage of Mariachi El Bronx/The Bronx show at Village Underground in London last year and interviews with the band. Watch the documentary here.

First Aid Kit New Single + Album Pre-Order
First Aid Kit have announced their new single I Met Up With The King will be released on 1 March. The song is inspired by a line from Gram Parson’s Return of the Grievous Angel and is about fallen stars, social outcasts and championing the voiceless. It will be the second single to be taken from the band’s debut album The Big Black And The Blue is released 25th January and available to pre-order on CD vinyl and limited edition CD (including bonus track) on the Wichita shop.

The Cribs To Play XFM’s Winter Wonderland
The Cribs will be playing their last gig of the year XFM’s Winter Wonderland on 8th December at Manchester Academy. The band will be headlining a bill that features Liam Fray (The Courteeners), Echo & The Bunnymen, Frank Turner, Delphic and Liam Frost.

Los Campesinos! Announce Album Details
Los Campesinos! have announced details of their forthcoming album. The release, entitled Romance Is Boring is due out 1st Feburary 2010. It was recorded with producer John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Wu-Tang Clan) between March and June of 2009, in Seattle, Connecticut and Monmouthsire and features guest appearances from Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu) and Zac Pennington (Parenthetical Girls).

The Cribs Cover Kaiser Chiefs For Charity
The Cribs have recorded a special version of Kaiser Chiefs ‘Modern Way’ with all the profits from the track going to a local Yorkshire charity.
The band have teamed up with local radio station 96.3 Radio Aire to raise awareness and money for neglected children in Leeds and West Yorkshire with all of the profits from the track going to the Cash for Kids Action on Neglect Appeal.
The Appeal is raising money to make a difference to the lives of neglected children in Leeds and West Yorkshire.
You can download the track from Monday 26th October through iTunes, HMV online and all usual download outlets.
The Appeal has an array of artists involved all of whom are releasing tracks individually as singles…Pixie Lott, Tony Christie, Pigeon Detectives,Corinne Bailey Rae,Paulo Nutini and The Christians.

Les Savy Fav will be back in the UK later this month for a special tour of screenings of the forthcoming All Tomorrow’s Parties film. The band will be performing at four cinematic screenings in venues across the UK. Peter, Bjorn And John Cancel UK Tour
Unfortunately Peter, Bjorn and John have had to cancel their upcoming UK tour due to family matters. Message from the band below:
Peter Bjorn And John are deeply and sincerely sorry
but we are unfortunately forced to cancel the upcoming
gigs in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Being our first longer UK-run in a couple of years it’s
a great shame but due to things out of our control concerning
family matters we simply can’t pursue the tour at the moment.
These things are a little to personal to go into here,
but we really do hope you all understand.
To those of you who have bought tickets and were
looking forward to the shows as much as we did,
we hope we can come back soon and make it up to you. Refunds will be
available from every promoter.
Once again we are truly sad and sorry about this
and just know we haven’t forgot you!
