Sky Larkin Release ‘Beeline’ (with watch!) + January Tour Dates!

Forthcoming Sky Larkin single ‘Beeline’, released on the 26th January, is another classic Sky Larkin pop song of the most gratifying type. Katie’s muscular vocals repeat and swirl throughout the song and teamed with Nestor’s relentless drumming the track has a climaxing urgency, yet still retains its understated charm.
With an equally incredible video, ‘Beeline’ is a classic Sky Larkin song sure to capture the attention of the listener.

Notably, the single is released in download and watch formats. If you pre-order a ‘Beeline’ promotional analogue watch (that’s right folks, no CDs, just watches) from the Wichita Recordings online store, you will receive the three single tracks in mp3 format immediately… and on 26th January, the watch will arrive on your doorstep, but this will be strictly limited edition, so order fast from here.

Sky Larkin consist of two old friends (Katie and Nestor) and one newer one (Doug), all hailing from Leeds. Since the addition of Doug to their band, Sky Larkin’s ascent has been rapid and exhilarating.  Their debut album ‘The Golden Spike’, is due out early next year.  Lyrically, Sky Larkin stand out, full of unusual references and firm delivery, you never quite know what is going to happen next. “You and I in relative size like an atom inside two small flies in our cathedral” is an example of the above-ordinary lyrics to be found in ‘Beeline’.
Sky Larkin aren’t like the average UK band of the moment; comparisons have been made with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Violent Femmes, and it was Seattle, America, where they chose to record their debut album.  Produced by John Goodmanson (Sleater Kinney, Death Cab for Cutie, Nada Surf), ‘Beeline’ is a perfect illustration that Sky Larkin have created a timeless record that is confrontational and razor sharp yet intricately layered and captivating.
Winning over audiences and industry alike across the world with their unique and timeless pop songs, Sky Larkin have toured with The Gossip, Broken Social Scene, Architecture In Helsinki and more recently, with Conor Oberst and Los Campesinos! on their Europeans shows.
